Our clients come from every corner of the world, and we are currently focusing on working with web 2.0 startups and leading eco-environmental corporations. We’re currently developing some amazing social communities and eco-focused e-commerce platforms using Ruby on Rails.

• Project creative, design, and implementation.
• Ability to take a project from beginning to end.
• Deal directly with clients in the design process.
• Communicate via email using positive and professional business writing skills.
• Maintain all project files in an organized structure.
• Detail oriented, organized and can manage time efficiently to ensure deadlines are met.
• Photoshop organization is a must. All files must have named layers, created with expansion and coding in mind.
• Work directly with CSS and XHTML companies, and understand backend development such as Ruby on Rails.
• Full understanding of all Adobe software, strong layout, composition and typography skills are a must.
• Production skills, ability to prepare files for print and web.
• Knowledge of current design trends, web trends and technologies.
• Flexible while working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work according to the needs of clients and provide them with negotiable solutions in a professional manner.
• Have the ability to multi-task and work on several projects at once.
• And most importantly, have the ability to take constructive criticism in a positive manner.
1. All positions are in-house, so you must live in Victoria, BC.
2. You must include a fairly detailed cover letter with information about your experiences and your long-term goals.
3. You must be extremely passionate about working in a startup environment. While we do not yet have all the perks of a corporate environment, we do offer a chance to be a part of a company whose main focus is to be the best possible design company for rock-star startup companies. This means you’ll be working in a dynamic environment, with the average age of employees being between 23 and 29.
4. With any company in startup mode, employment at Studio 7 Designs is about the company and providing value to our customers, our startup ideas and web 2.0 companies. We ask that everyone come to work with only positive focus and energy. We want to work with people that make us feel great.
5. We try to follow 37 signals advice to startups. That means 4 day work weeks, with a focus on coming to work in peak mental form. We ask that all employees refrain from work outside of Studio 7 Designs to prevent burnout. We’re a 100% drug free work environment.
